The Border Security Force Brass Band, armed with drums, trumpets and bagpipes, will display a symphony of martial music in a three-day “The Great Indian Police Band Show” which will be organised at the following locations mentioned below with effect from 14TH TO 16TH March 2014 from 4 pm TO 7 pm to showcase the musical talent of Indian Police Bands for the people of Delhi.

The music of BSF Band will uplift the morale of personnel through their music which is flavoured with patriotic fervour. It gives an opportunity to civilians and tourists to witness and experience the rich music, steeped in tradition and history of the armed forces. The evening air on Delhi Haat, Connaught Place and India Gate will be filled with reverberation of drum beats, trumpets and bag pipes as the Bands give a symphonic display of martial music as per the schedule mentioned above.
Earlier, Border Security Force band was also played Brass Band performance at Central park, Connaught Place, New Delhi on 02nd Oct’ 2013 evening on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and on 02nd January 2014 again played Brass Band performance on the occasion of Centenary Celebration organised by Municipal Council, New Delhi.
Not only this, during the occasion, a lots of people from Delhi and tourists visiting from other countries to Delhi can also witness and enjoy the exciting play and traditional music of BSF in The Great Indian Police Band Show. And they can also enjoy the BSF Theme song “Hum seema ke prahari hain – hum seena taan khade – bharat ke har praant se aye – bahaduron ka dal – Hain Seema Suraksha Bal” played by the BSF Brass Band in a wonderful tuning with heart touching lyrics.
BSF band bagged the Overall Championship in the 13th All India Police Band Competition 2012 organised at India Gate, New Delhi in Oct 2012. In which 15 teams of State Police Forces and 07 of Central Armed Police Force comprised of Brass Band, Pipes & Drums and Buglers participated in the Competition. BSF won this championship thrice in previous year’s viz., 2001, 2006 and 2009 respectively.
