AMRITSAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 27

pistol magazines in Abohar sector on Tuesday.
BSF Inspector General, Frontier, AK Tomar, informed that the

Abohar sector.
The BSF had also recovered 500 gram opium, 42 rounds of
ammunition, 2 Nokia mobile phones and 2 Pak SIM cards said Tomar.

of March 31 and April 1, BSF troops deployed in the area of Khanpur border out
post spotted suspicious movement near border security fence following which
they challenged the intruders who deliberately ignored them.
"BSF troops challenged the suspects but they did not
pay any heed and continued with their aggressive posture which forced our Jawan
to fire on them in self-defence and to prevent smuggling attempt" said
Tomar.
But the Pakistani smugglers managed to escape taking
advantage of darkness.
During search of the area the narcotics and ammunition was
recovered.
A day earlier BSF troops had foiled a smuggling attempt near
