AR conducts computer courses for youth at VTC Jalukie town

As part of employment through skill development programme of youth, 18 Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of HQ 6 Sect AR has been sponsoring youth from the Peren district for Computer Courses at Vocational Training Centre (VTC), Jalukie.

In a press release, IGAR (N)’s PRO stated that the aim of the course was to develop skills in computer literacy and empower the youth for seeking employment. The first batch of 36 students from Jalukie and neighbouring villages successfully completed the computer course on March 28 and the second batch, which includes 31 students, is undergoing training.  6 Sector Assam Rifles Commander along with commandant, 18 Assam Rifles interacted with the students at VTC and motivated them to obtain maximum benefit from the course. He also interacted with the GBs and village elders of villages near Jalukie and assured them of continued assistance from AR. Meanwhile, GBs and local population expressed gratitude to AR for undertaking such ventures.
