NEW DELHI: Lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung decorated 10 BSF
men with police medals for gallantry, and 21 BSF officers and men with police
medals for meritorious service on the occasion of 12th BSF investiture ceremony
held at Vigyan Bhawan on Thursday.
Even five times Mount Everest climber, Love Raj Singh Dharmshaktu,
assistant commandant of BSF, got special mention for receiving the Padma Shri
award in 2014.
"The force has become people-friendly and their role
during massive natural calamity in Uttarakhand is commendable," said Jung.
On the occasion, Director General Border Security Force, D K
Pathak, also addressed the audience. He recalled Border Security Force journey
since 1965.
