Lt Gen RK Rana, Director General Assam Rifles addressed the
troops of IGAR (South) on his visit to the formation from 28 to 30 May 2014.
The Director General emphasised that the troops of the Assam Rifles have a
great responsibility on their shoulders being the ‘Sentinels of the North
East’.
The conduct of each soldier should be exemplary, as they are
the ambassadors of the Assam Rifles in the state of Manipur. He also called on
the troops to work hand in hand with the people of Manipur to bring in an era
of peace and development in Manipur, according to a press release of PRO
IGAR(S).
